Precautions while you are using public wifi system

First you remember the public WIFIs are always not safe. It's better to avoid usage of such public networks. Some people intentionally release networks to the public to hack your valuable data from your Mobile. They may hack your personal information like your Bank credentials like passwords, IDs, Secret words and much more.

Please follow the safety precautions while using public WIFI Networks.

1. When you are using public wi-fi, it is better to use Anti virus for system and internet security (Ex:Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security)
2. Use virtual private network (VPN)
3. Installing browser add-ons or plug-ins (EX: Force-TLS).
4. Enable firewall settings - In windows it is pre-installed. If you are using other than widows you can install third party software (Ex: McAfee, Norton, Zone Labs and Kaspersky).
5. Some Wi-Fi networks use WEP and WPA are common encryption but WPA2 is the strongest encryption.
6. Use only sites with addresses that start with “https.” these sites are far more secure than the basic “http” variety.
7. Use public wi-fi for only web browsing .
8. Don't Use public wi-fi for online banking transactions or any financial transactions and personal data sharing.
9. Make sure your computer has a hardware firewall.
10.Never connect with any other networks that may also visible on your desktop or laptop as available while you are using public wi-fi.
11. Turn off file sharing option from your operating system's network settings menu.
12. To avoid from hackers - Turn off shared folders.
13. To avoid your computer from automatically connect unsafe networks - Change your Windows wireless network connection properties to “on demand or manually” from the default (automatic connection).
14.Never stay permanently signed in to accounts. When you've finished using an account then immediately log out.
15.Never use the same password for different websites. It may cause to hack one of your accounts access to many of your accounts.
16.Manage your web browser and security software up-to-date.
17.See the web browser warnings while visiting or searching fraudulent websites or download mischievous programs.
18.The mobile device settings should be never connect to public Wi-Fi automatically.
19.Secure your folders - give a password to the folder.
