How to use Google Maps offline

The Google Map app is Well known for all Android and iOS users. It gives several interesting features -It covers every part of the globe. 2. Finding ourselves in an unknown place. 3. It gives the driving direction to reach an unknown place. 4. It gives the walking direction also.

Google offers offline Google Maps. Offline Google Maps are very useful in below situations - where international roaming charges are high for providing data service, where the internet connection is not available,  where the wi-fi connection is not available. You can use this offline Google map without any Internet connection or data connection.

HOW TO USE GOOGLE MAPS  OFFLINE


Method 1:

1. Open the Google Map.
2. Type or enter the location in the search bar (which place you want to save for the offline use).
3. Go to settings.
4. Click on "save map to use offline".
5. Save that map with a name.
6. You can use this saved map while you are offline.

Method 2:

1. Open the Google Map.
2. Search for desired location.
3. Enter Ok Maps in the search box then it will save automatically which place is currently displayed (visible) on the device.

Limitations:

1. Offline Maps size is limited. It can save maximum area of a map equivalent to 50km x 50km
2. You can't  save more than 6 offline maps.
3. You can’t use the GPS tools with these saved maps.
3. Maps are available only for 30 days validity, after that these will be deleted automatically.
4. Navigation tool is not available.
4. Satellite, terrain or 3D building features are not available with these saved offline maps.
5. You can’t use direction feature on offline maps.
